Lebanese Compulsory Policy
The motor vehicle compulsory insurance has been launched in Lebanon in April 2003. Its legal framework is law no. 105 dated June 30, 1977.
According to the law, every owner of a motor vehicle in Lebanon has to purchase, with a locally licensed insurance company, third party liability insurance covering only bodily injury caused to third parties.

Orange Card
The Orange card is a Motor Third Party Liability insurance covering accidents in Arab countries such as Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia and UAE, according to the compulsory insurance laws of each participating country.
The Orange Card tariffs are preset by ACAL (Association des Compagnies d’Assurance au Liban).
