Marine insurance covers your goods when transported by sea, air or land. The cover starts when the goods leave their place of storage and stops when they reach their final destination.

You can choose between the following 3 main types of covers:
- Clause A:
It is an all risks cover for loss, damages or expenses, except for the ones due to:
- Inherent vice (loss caused by the nature of the thing insured and not the result of an external cause) and delay
- Unsuitability of the packaging
- Leakage
- Wear and tear
- War, Strikes, Riots, and civil commotion.

- Clause B:
This clause covers all loss and damages due to:
- Fire and explosion
- Sinking of the vessel
- Overturning or derailment of land conveyance
- The collision of the vessel with an external object
- Discharge at port of distress
- General Average sacrifice
- Earthquake, volcanic eruption or lightning
- Jettison or washing overboard
- Entry of water into the vessel or storage place
- Total loss of anyone package while loading and unloading.

- Clause C:
It Is a lesser cover than Clause B, it covers loss and damages due to:
- Fire and explosion
- Sinking of the vessel
- Overturning or derailment of land conveyance
- The collision of the vessel with an external object
- Discharge at port of distress
- General Average sacrifice
- Jettison.

Two options are available:
- Institute Air Cargo: It is an all risk insurance that covers loss or damages in all cases except the ones due to:
- Willful misconduct of assured
- Ordinary leakage
- Insufficiency of packaging
- Inherent vice
- Delay
- Insolvency of aircraft operators
- War, Strikes, Riots, and civil commotion and nuclear weapons.

- Institute Air Cargo total loss: It is the same cover with the same exceptions, but it covers only total loss of the cargo.

- All risk: covers all the losses or damage of the insured cargo transported by train or truck with the same exceptions than Clause A above.

- Truck Clause: covers loss or damage to the transportation by train or truck due to:
- Fire
- Collision
- Overturning
- Derailment
- Bridge collapse
- Road accident.

 Optional Covers:
War, Strikes, Riots, and civil commotion clauses:
Covers loss and damage due to war, strikes, riots and civil commotion. This option could be added to all clauses.
The war cover doesn't apply when goods are on land, a special arrangement has to be made for land cover.

- Non delivery:
Could only be added to clause B, C and Total loss, it covers the missing of one pack or the whole container at the arrival to the final destination.
