1- History:
Bankers Assurance SAL was born in Beirut in 1972 of the efforts of veterans of the Middle Eastern insurance market, Saba Nader and Maurice Karaoglan. The company was licensed to operate both as a general and life insurer.
Bankers Assurance is the leading Lebanese insurance company with international bonding.

In our 30 years of existence, Bankers Assurance has grown to become a trendsetter in the insurance industry in Lebanon. Growing steadily within the last 5 years at an annual rate of 15%, we have confirmed the historical leadership of our group in Lebanon.
Today Bankers Assurance is one of the most strongly capitalised insurance companies in Lebanon. Our 7 million US$ capitalisation is further strengthened by the financial backing Nasco Insurance Group: A net asset base of and turnover respectively in excess of US$ 34 million and US$ 67 million.

As additional security to our clientele, Bankers Assurance has succeeded in developing highly privileged relationships with many heavyweights in the reinsurance world, such as Munich-Re and Swiss-Re. This has been achieved through a joint effort of Nasco Karaoglan, a sister company, and one of the three leading reinsurance brokers in France.
Being the main founder of MedNet Liban and holding 34% of its capital, Bankers Assurance writes over 40% of overall MedNet’s premiums.
Bankers Assurance worldwide culture allows it to play a major role with international companies with local implementation.
